Ripoff, hoping to get my money back

Business & Finance

I was contacted by a recruiting person through an employment website where I posted my resume. This person emailed me and called my home. After listening to the program NHCD offers I decided to try it because the lady said my 19.95 deposit was refundable for any reason at any time. (I even asked twice, just to be sure)

She said I had to call into a 800 number conference call the next day for orientation. I did that. Then the lady in the orientation said a manager would contact us individually to have one on one training. The lady in orientation also said everyone should be able to start that friday or saturday. I never received a call instead I got an email from someone else (not my manager) telling to me call another 800 number conference call for training the next day.

So I started feeling weird about this company. I called the 800 number and went through another suppose to be training session where all they did was talk about how good this company is. Then this lady said we were suppose to contact our managers via email to let them know we finished training. Meanwhile I'm thinking what training???

Not to mention this new thing came up where we had to take their long distance phone service for 18.95 a month. Which I don't need because I have (competitor's name deleted - see below) that only charges 17.00 a month for unlimited long distance. There program only allows you to make unlimited calls to customers and 500 minutes a month for personal use.

Also like to know how in the world do they know who your calling. The access code they give you is just a 10-10 number they make you pay 18.95 a month for. Well I tried 3 calls from the list they gave me or 25 numbers. The leads were over a month old. These customers had no idea who I was even though they were suppose to have talked to someone from the company beforehand.

I had a million questions after those calls which none of them my manager answered properly, She would give me the run around saying things like you don't quote prices in this department. Well if you are trying to sell a discount presciption plan of course the person on the other line wants to know what they are going to pay for there medication, Especially when they are charging 99 dollars for this service.

I was suppose to be a sales rep they call enrollment. I have requested from my manager and the customer service number to get my 19.95 back plus not be charged for the 18.95 10-10 number I do not want it.

I would advice be careful if you decide to do business with this company. My instincts are its a scam so I don't want anything to do with NHCD or Affordable Services, INC (my manager said that is who the phone service is through) I just want my money back.
