RIP-Off fees for escrow account-ocwen began charging 52.00 per month and putting it in an escrow account (This is an account they set up with out my knowledge or okay) when we paid off our mortgage after hurricane katrina they kept all the escrow money. They claim forced hazzard insurance for the month of july (although i had already discussed with them that i had insurance and it was a mistake on my agents part) If they continued charging 9.00 per month for 'optional insurance i never opted for then i would like to collect on that policy since our house was destroyed by above mentioned hurricane. I would also like to know what they spent the rest of the 43.00 per month on. I just recieved a statement that my escrow account ballance was zero but with no explanation as to where the money went. On this bogus statement they sent it simply states that in DEC. Of 05 214.93 was charged??? Besides being a rip off company it is the MOST inhospitable company that i have ever had to deal with. You NEVER speak to any one who has a clue as to what is going on because all calls are rerouted to india.
