Ipoff dishonest debt collection practices foreclose billing

We have been customers, or mortgagees, of Citifiancial Mortgage since December. We are currently past due in the amount of $2000 roughly. Each time we have attempted to resolve this issue or see what we can do to resolve it, we have been given the run-around. Telling us they would as soon foreclose on our property than to help us get back on our feet. We currently have attempted to pay what statements have said was our past due amount via Western Union, only to have the money returned to us.

Let me tell you that the reasons we got behind were very complex but were based on severe health problems I have encountered in the past year that were uninsued as well as critical family issues including a life-threatening situation involving my Brother and marital problems of myself and my Husband.

I just got off the phone with Craig from "Customer accounts" and was told they did not care about getting my money, they wanted my house. Over and over again he has advised me to just sell my house or move. I advised him with three disabled children this just wasn't an option. I advised him I was able to send in the past due today and he gave me an amount of $3500 plus which included attorney and foreclosure fees.

We have been behind this time since Oct only and have never recieved anything saying it has been foreclosed on. Do you have to go to court for this to happen? I am admittedly unknowledgable about mortgagae law, but something does not seem right to me.

Why are they sending my payments back to me? Why will they not at least apply them to my loan so I am not as far behind?

Do they just want to take my home so my children and ourselves are on the street?

We have every intention to get current, but need a little help from them!
