USA Benefits
Unauthorized withdrawals from checking account ripoff

A charge of $9.95 has been taken from my account three times by a company called USA Benefits, which I have never heard of. It took quite a bit of research to get their phone number, and once I finally got to speak to someone they told me that I was being charged because when I went to Sonic Payday's website to apply for a pay day loan, I checked a box stating that I wanted to received a free credit report from Equifax.
I was able to stop them from taking any more money out of my account (hopefully), but they will not refund the money I have already been charged. One of these withdrawals resulted in a $30.00 overdraft fee as well.
Since I know there was a good possibility that I did in fact check this box, I couldnt really argue. However, while I very well may have checked a box saying I would be interested in a free credit report, I don't see how this gives someone permission to withdrawal $9.95 a month from my checking account, that is not something I agreed to.
