Messed my account up, ripoff

I believe that BB&T is a ripoff to customers that do not have direct deposit. I have had problems with this bank since I opened it less than a year ago.

The problem that I have is that we were not told that when we started this account it would be so much confusion as to what there policies are. And that when yo are communicated the wrong info and end up paying for it. All they can do is listen and nobody can do anything except the top manager over all the branches in the area. The bankers, managers are not empowered to credit back anything not even 2 dollars even when it is the banks fault!

Example we were told that the best place to make a deposit is through the ATM because it would credit to your account sooner than going into the bank.
So that is what we did, they also said that 100 dollars is made availible from the deposit right away... And that if they see a pending deposit if you have checks going through they will take from that deposit.

The problem is that was not what happened made a deposit of $600.00 already had $172.00 in the account now the atm, phone bank, and online bank had added the deposit. Problem was the system the bankers see and the computer go by does not see the deposit because they are on a different system. So it did not go through until Mon night which they had took out $204 in bank fees and said my acct was in the negative but I got my balance on the phone, atm, and online all said I had money adding the deposit.

I was told that the way BB&T is designed you can not go by any of these systems that they offer, only your checkbook. Because there system is different from there other ones... Which in turn causes so much confusion, the employees are confused the customer is confused... Manager are confused. And customer ends up paying for all the confusion and misunderstanding and BB&T does not EMPOWER there employees to do anything about it. Just one person who is always in a meeting and never have time to talk.

I believe the way the computer is set up is to cause confusion so they can make money for themselves and then they tie up there employees hands so even though they are wrong in all there fees. Nobody can do anything except one person, who is in charge over all the branches in the AREA. How pitiful and sad is that??
