Does Not Send Statements, Then Charges Late Fees, Gets Threatening, Ripoff

Just opened this account. It is a nightmare. The company solicited the business, once the card was used they did not send any statements.

One month after the card was used, for the first time, I got the first collection call. I told them that I had not received a statement and would pay the balance in full once it was received. They faxed me a statement 3 days later. That was also 5 or 6 collection calls later.

Each collection call they get very pushy and threatening, always wanting me to pay the payment by phone, giving them routing numbers and account numbers for my bank account. When I tell them this same story, about not having received any statements and that I have mailed payment as soon as the statement was faxed to me, they again push for payment over the phone.

These tactics being used set alarms off in my head. There is no way a legitimate company operates in this fashion. If the account was way delinquent maybe, but this is on a 22.00 charge made 30 days ago.

While failing to send me a statement, they have managed to add a 39.00 late fee as well as a 39.00 fee for the account. They are also pointing out to me in these phone calls that even though I have written a check to pay the account in full, that interest is being charged on the account, and that there woill be a balance.

In one of these collection calls, after explaining that payment was sent as soon as a statement was faxed to me, and declining to give them the routing number and account number for my checking account, so that they could hit it with who knows what, the customer service rep pointed out to me that the next stop for this problem was on the company attorney's desk.

All of that on a 22.00 charge made 30 days ago. And they expect you to give them all of the knowledge to drain your bank account, having no clue if they are even who they claim to be.

If you ever get a credit card offer from this company run the other way, QUICK!
