Tried to rip me off of $249.00 acomao xford

Business & Finance

I received a call just last week about an unsecured mastercard with a credit limit of $2000.00 and an insurance fee of $249.00.

The lady on the other end said I was approved and the credit card was intended to repair my credit. Since recently I had applied for a few credit cards I was not suspcious.

She then transfered me to speak to someone else about setting up a eletronic check for the $249.00. The man recorded all my personal information including my social security number.

He said they would cash the check that coming Friday which was my next payday. On that Friday nothing was withdrawn, which seemed kind of strange since it was supposed to be electronically withdrawn. So I called them and got an answering machine which seemed very homemade, I heard people talking in the background and everything. It struck me as unprofessional.

I started to have a very bad feeling about this company. On Monday I checked online to see if they had withdrawn the money yet, and they did. Today (Tuesday) I used the search engine to check them out. I couldn't find anything on them until I came across your website (thank god). I immediately called my bank (bank of America) and they said they had caught the fraud because of a strange check number, so they had reversed it and my money would be put back into my account. She told me I should close my account and open a new one. And since they had my social security number I should put an alert on it with all three credit bureaus, which I did. Thank you usacomplaints.com.Com for saving my money. These people need to be put out of business and go to jail for what they are doing to people that already have enough going on in life and then have to deal with this.
