Ripoff fraudulent practices

As with the majority of the people on this site, regarding this company I was also taken in by their claims to provide an un-secured Master Card with a limit of $2000.00, no annual fee, and a low APR (0% for the first year). The only thing necessary would be a "nominal fee" of $249.00.

After spending a great deal of time with "Mike Smith" on the phone and going over the information, I decided to sign-up. The representative assured me that I would receive the "package" with my card and additional information in no more than 15 days. I explained that I would need the card to be available before the 30th as I was preparring to move and was promised that this would be guaranteed... (YIKES)

After the 15 days, I started calling the customer service lines and was treated incredibly rudely. I heard my taped conversation twice (which was in line with my argument anyway!), and then had it explained that the package could take as much as 45-60 days to get to FedEx and then come to me.

After 25 days, I was calling two or three times a day, always being reassured that they would "speak to the manager". On day 26 I was told that everything was ready and I would have a tracking number for FedEx by noon the next day. I called the next day only to be told that again, nothing has been prepared and there is no package for me at this time, "please wait 20 business days more" for a response.

I was frustrated and happened to google the company and came up with this site (thank God!). I have read through the comments and came across one with a rebuttal with a phone number. I tried the number and was answered directly by a Darryl Pickett, who identified the order and agreed to credit the money back into my checking account and it should be there with 24 hours. I will let you all know how this turns out. The number for contacting these people is 949-729-1400.
