Vanderbilt Mortgage And Finance
Ripoff Vanderbilt threatening to forclose, I'm only one month late, this is so wrong!

I just received a certified letter from Vanderbilt. It says that I am in default of the terms of the contract, but I am only one month late as of yesterday. Vanderbilt says that the full amount of my contract is due now, which is $21,000! I cannot afford to pay this amount up-front, and don't intend to. Vanderbilt has harrassed my wife and me from the get-go, every since our account was sold to them from Mobile Consultants, a.K.A. First Merit Bank of Akron, Ohio. If we were one day late with a payment, they would be calling us from daylight to dark. I swear, this is the most unprofessional mortgage company in the United States. I swear, if I had known what a rip-off company this is, I would have refinanced my mobile home as soon as I found out that Vanderbilt was going to be my mortgage company. If any attorney or consumer group reads this, I need advice, please. I don't want to lose my home over one month's payment.
