Payments Held 32 Days, $34 Late Fees, $12 Phone Fee

I want all consumers to be aware of the tactics that Citifinancial is willing to use to steal money from its customers. Below are the experiences I have had dealing with this company.

First of all, as big as this company is supposed to be, there is no access to online bill paying for accounts opened under this part of the company. Consumers have to mail in their bills before the due date, which is not a problem except that, for some reason (to get extra money and ruin your credit score), your payment will be posted in 32 days, equal to their billing cycle.

You can pay by phone only if you choose to pay them an additional $12.00 to process the payment. If you choose not to, you will pay their ungodly $34.00 in late fees, which are no fault of yours, but they hold the mail from being processed until the 32 days have passed.

The company's apparent policy is to harass the customer and threaten them with fees and credit issues if the consumer fails to comply with their tactics. Well, this time they hit pay dirt, not knowing that they were speaking with an investigator who is aware of the actions to defraud the public.

Personal warning: don't do any business with these people. You will be very sorry. Good luck!
