Ameriquest Mortgages
Quoted me a payoff but when check came it was $6000 short., Florida

An agent, Jason Miller charged me $10,000 to refinance with Ameriquest, charged me 7.8% and said I would receive $20,000.
My husband and I are in our 70's and the agent said we would do the figures over the phone. We never met the man or did anyone come to the closing.
When the check came thru the mail for $14,000 I called the Ameriquest office and they said that Mr. Miller was no longer employed there and they would not stand behind anything that was quoted.

My husband and I feel we were not treated fairly, and needed that money for my husband's medical bills (which has put him in the hospital, due to the stress of this)! We want seniors all over Florida (of which there are many) to beware of dealing with Ameriquest!
The mortgage has a prepenalty clause so I can't get out of this. I want my money that is owed me! They should not be in business.
