Wells Fargo Financial Acceptance
Ripoff Company deny's Payoff

Business & Finance

I bought a new truck 3 months ago. Everytime I would send them my payment in through the mail I would receive a phone call 3 weeks later saying they haven't received my payment. I then went ahead and got the payoff of my truck on May 9th. I then sent them a caisher's check for the full amount. When I called to check the automated machine said the loan was payed in full and I would receive my title with 7 to 10 days. Then I never received anything from them so I called again and this time it said that I owed the full amount for my truck again. I talked to one of the representatives and they said that they were sending my caishers check back because they could not accept it due to not being endorsed. Which, I still have not received the check back and that has been over 30 days.

Then I went a cancelled the check so it could not be cashed by someone else costing me a cancellation fee. Then I sent them a personel check after the phone call. Continued to check on the status and the check was never received according to the representative that I had spoken to. At this time they had promised to accept the original payoff date of May 9th.in the meantime after 3 weeks of them denying the receipt of the check I told the representative that I was going to put a stop payment on the check. During this conversation she was getting rude with me and saying there was nothing she could do that they had no control over the mail. She then told me I could take another caisher's check down the branch and pay it personelly and it be posted to my account immediately. Whithin the next couple of days I received the clear title to my truck and a refund check of 29.98 for an overpayment. I took the caishers check down to the Branch in West Carrolton Ohio the next day because I knew I had put a stop payment on the check. I received a receipt showing that I had paid the full amount in which the manager wrote and said that would take care of all the confusion. That was taken down to there branch on May 29th.

Yesterday, April the 9th 2005 I received a phone call from one of the collection dept. Stating that I am in default and I owe the monthly payment and late fees. I requested to speak to the management dept. With much persuading to the representative. The mangement called the branch and the talked directly to the manager that took my check and she said they had two computer systems and she would have to get in touch with the administration and would call me to let me know when things get straighted out, in the mean time I would not receive any more harrasing phone calls and it would not go against my credit report. What a LIE! Received another phone call today demanding my payment. When I tryed to explain what the other Lady had said to me she stated "Well I don't know what she is talking about. She is seeing the same screen I am." This lady became rude with me also. I would never deal with such an incompatent company again. This has been a night mare that just won't go away.
