Over appraisal

My husband and I recently refinanced with AMERIQUEST/AMC. Although we have a decent payment, the escrow that was supposed to be there is not, the answer I get, somehow the paper work must have been misplaced. That is not where my problem lies with AMERIQUEST. I have sent numerous letters requesting the appraisal that was done on our home. I strated requesting this the week after we closed on our home, I was curious to see what it came in at.

Well here I am 5 months later and still no appraisal. Of course you can not ever reach anyone that will or can help you! I have found one person at AMERIQUEST that has given any help and that was after calling several times to the CA branch. Paul Jensen that we dealt with, is always out of the office, or not in that day, and of course NEVER returns a phone call. All this to avoid giving me a copy of something we paid for.

I happened to find out what it did come back at this past week (May) while talking to Debbie in CA it came in at 104000.00 and yet when we had it appraised a year ago it only came in at 88000.00 Now keep in mind that we live in a rual area in a manufactured home. Although the appraiser NEVER looked at the house, came in looked at the kitchen, browsed the appraisal we had done and left. Took no measurements, which I did question, and was told he had all he needed. I wish I had seen this site before getting involved with this company! I wish good luck to anyone that has the misfortune of dealing with them!
