Ripoff Withholding Payoff Funds

On August 13 my home was destroyed by Hurricane Charley. If that was not bad enough I now am fighting with EMC mortgage to get my mortgage paid off. My insurance company sent EMC a check for payoff and I sent a few more dollars that they say is interest will the check is being processed, which I think sounds a little crooked, but I need the payoff letter to get a new home for my family so I paid it.

It has now been 7 weeks and I am still waiting. I call dailey just to sit on hold for 30-45 minutes to talk to a supervisor to try and get this done.

I just hope that if someone has a choice of mortgage companies they stay away from this one. I did not have that choice EMC bought my loan from UC Lending without even advising me. I wish that someone with some power would close this type of rip off business for good.
