On January 6th I contacted Chase Mortgage Customer Service to request a payoff on our existing mortgage with Chase. The company informed me it was their policy to charge its customers $30 to fax a Mortgage Payoff Statement. This is outrageous and I told them this is exactly why Americans are fed up the big banks and that we would no longer do business with them.
