Ripoff Ruined Credit Report Cant validate the Collection record scammers

My husband received his credit report because we were in the process of buying a new home. The report came back with the AT&T, and Palisades Collection on it. The phone number wasnt working on the report for it nor was the address right. My husband hasnt had an AT&T so it is a scam. I tried by looking on the web and got this web site. Also I called some number that someone reported on this site and the guy kept asking me my husbands social security and that he cant lookt he account up without it. He couldnt cvalidate the account with any documentation or anything. Its ruined the credit and I am not going to pay it.
