Ripoff dishonest fraudulent fees and bank charges

I made a paycheck deposit in to a nearby ATM machine on a Friday January 21.2005. The bank teller inside informed me a week earlier, that if I deposit after work, I can only take out $100.00 due to needing to see if the check is good. She said, "after all, it is only paper". She said, it will post by midnight that Friday night, and I will be able to use my own money I gave them, in the morning. That would be Saturday, January 22.

I checked my bank account on Monday, January 24th, online. I had written checks and used my debit ATM card. I was expecting my first direct deposit from my new job. I also like to make sure I have enough money. It was time to pay the bills.

To my shock and horror, Bank of America had posted my deposit, on January 24th! They said it was received on the 21st, so instead of seeing that it was deposited timely and good, they bounced everything after that! A total of $240.00!! They paid everything, but took all my deposit! It looked like a snowball effect, of minuses in the red.

I emailed the bank online, to customer service, and they said, just this. Sorry, you cannot get your own money until the following business day, from a, "C. Meek". You can write BankofAmerica in Pasadena, I can do nothing for you, from a, "N. Yee". After a third email to them, explaining they had taken all of my account, I got, from a, "J. Pacheco, you can choose another type of account fitting your needs, or if you still want to close your account... You can close as soon as it reaches a zero balance!

I never said I was going to close my account, instead I told them since they were not willing to help, I would stand out on the sidewalk and tell my story to everyone who drives up, passing out flyers, and I will be writing letters. The customer service department did not care. Notice, not one person took care of my complaint, in emails back, I got three different people telling me what they could not do!

If this bank, has felt they can do this to me, they probably have done it to many others. Is that how they have made their profits? I have recently told my story to my new workmates. They said they have had the same problems with Bank of America, would never bank there, and have closed past accounts. This is not the high standards of treatment I have had in Nevada, where banked with them for 12 years. I am just in shock, and believe they are ripping us all off!!
