Hello, I recently applied for an American Express and got approved. When I received the card with the conditions, not only were very different as stated in their website, but they also gave a very low credit limit. I was very disappointed so I decided to close the account without activating the card. After 2 weeks I realized that I could have gotten a higher limit after 60 days so I asked to be reinstated. They denied me without using the same criteria as I applied. Unbelievable, more considering that I have a high FICO and I always have paid on time.
They are not good in retaining people who are willing to pay every month they debts... That says a lot!
