Ripoff threatened wage garnishment

Thank God I came across this webpage. I contacted NCO Financial Systems and once they gave me a "Loan Rehabiliation" offer they told me that I would have to pay $700 to initiate it.
If I could afford that, I'd pay off the loan.

I asked them to tell me the amounts and dates of the loans, and the dates were incorrect, so they said they would send me forms in 30 days to report fraud. They said that all loans now belong to them and that US Dept of Ed no longer uses them.

Well, I have been saved from this fraud because of this loan discrepancy, but I am grateful of this site forwarning me. It also has listed that some unscrupulous practices with the student loans which I intend to research. I have paid them off
through my tax refunds, and now I find out that these funds only go towards the interest! What's up with that!
