Private Student Loan Sharks - Student Loans

Not only is Sallie Mae the most unworkable, unreasonable loan company i have ever had the pleasure of dealing with... Their customer service agents wont even talk to you like you are an actual person.

I started taking Sallie Mae loans my freshman year of undergrad, I had my daughter my senior year and was working full time while going to school. When it came time to make payments, I could not afford $800 a month for INTEREST ONLY payments. I went to school for social work... We dont make that much, even in the good jobs. Because of my student loan debt, i couldnt get the $ to go on to grad school so they just continued to come after me for the $. I was repeatedly told, by Sallie Mae Customer Service Agents, the following things...

"Cant you get a second job?" (I was working 70 hours a week at the time with a 3 month old at home)

"Ma'am, I really need you to tell me the truth for this financial statement, the numbers you gave me say that your bills are more than your income, can you please tell me how that works?" (Uh... Something DOESNT GET PAID thats how that works!!!)

"Have you asked your supervisor for a raise? Or thought about finding a different job that paid more?" (Really...)

Loans defaulted and at this point... Thank god... The collection agency i am dealing with are the first humans I have dealt with for YEARS during this entire process! Even if I cant come up with the settlement and get garnished, loose it all for a couple years... I will still be grateful that i never have to deal with this company again!!!

its not worth it... And its criminal!
