Run away from any school that recommends Sallie Mae! - Sallie Mae Federal and Private Loans

If you're looking to use federal and/or private loans for school, DO NOT USE Sallie Mae! I'm pretty sure my kids are going to inherit my loan; interest rates are crazy ridiculous, not one person in customer service is even remotely decent to deal with - and if you get someone that speaks any form of english as a third language, consider yourself lucky! They don't want to help anyone that might be having issues, but they will stalk the living garbage out of you until you snap if you're even a day late with a payment. I had a "customer service" rep actually tell me once that I was stupid for taking a job after graduation - during the peak of the recession - that didn't let me pay all my bills on time. Are you kidding me?! I didn't know that Sallie Mae was the keeper of the job/money. Trees! Every time I get my statement in the mail, I regret getting a higher education; I'm not working for the weekend anymore, I'm working to pay back Sallie Mae. With every payment I make my balance either stays the same or goes up?! It hasn't changed in 6 YEARS! Worst financial decision I've ever made. Please, save yourselves and find another way to pay for school - don't use Sallie Mae.
