I too was ripped off by promotional discount offers. I could not believe there was a company exploiting people with bad credit by giving them an offer that could not be refused.
After I had received my "packet" of junk in the mail. I gave them a call and told them that I wanted my money back.
I explained to the CSR that I was misled and I had not received what was explained to me in the mail. So the CSR told me after bothering them for a while that it would have to investigated and i would have to listen to the recording that was recorded during our conversation.
If they thought I was misled then I would be eligible for a full refund.
Anyways a week or so passes and I finally get a hold of them for them to tell me my rebuttal was denied!
When I listened to the recording everything they were saying was muffled! I couldn't hear a thing!
To make a long story short I ripped them a new one explaining to them I could not believe they were working for a company that was stealing innocent consumers money!
I told the CSR I could not believe they could sleep at night. I informed them that I would be reporting them to the BBB.
I had a refund in my account a month after I had reported them to the Better Business Bureau.
