Card Number Invalid After $350 Load, Runaround on Refund

I recently purchased a Green Dot card from Fred's on Dec. 24 to purchase orders offline. I put $350.00 on the card. I went home to register the card, and it said the card number was invalid. So I went back to Fred's, and they said there was nothing they could do and I would have to take this up with Green Dot.

So I called Green Dot Corporation and gave them my information, and they asked me to wait 24 hours to see what would happen with my card. I called the next day and asked about the status of it, and I keep getting the runaround. Is there anything I can do to get my money back? This is the worst Christmas ever for me and my four-year-old daughter.
