L'Oreal Flipstick complete mess from barcode sticker - L'Oreal flipstick

I'm so disappointed with my new l'oreal flipstick. I bought it yesterday - broke the barcode seal and got completely covered in gluey gunk from the back of the sticker. Its caked into the flipstick casing and i can't get it off, i've tried everything even nail varnish remover which has now made the situation worse its gunky and cloudy - not something i'd be pleased to take out and use in public - really fed up... Why use industrial strength glue on a cosmetic - ridiculous wish i had'nt bought it: (
