Businesses cant support volume!

We have used groupon twice now and might not bother again. The first thing we bought was a set of garden furniture from City Living (£299) Delivery was quoted as 3-6 weeks, on the phone this then changed to 4-6 weeks, then an email said that deliveries were being made every week but could be as late as September. Then a new tracking service was launched which then showed us our furniture wouldn't arrive until November! We bought it on the 31st May. 6 Months for delivery! It is quite clear that City Living didn't have enough stock to manage the promotion. We have since got a refund and gone elsewhere with our money, delivery of our new furniture will come in 3 days.
The next order was recently for a massage at Hamlets Health club in SE22. I have tried to arrange an appointment and received an automated response to say that over 1000 people have bought the deal and that I will be contacted asap. Granted the deal is valid for 1 year but I don't want to have to wait that long, if I want to redeem my voucher then should I be forced to wait that long because it is over-subscribed.
I suggest that Groupon looks at the companies it is bulk buying from because it would seem that they can't always meet expectation and there is a lot of unmet promises. I work in retail and can tell you that we wouldn't do such a thing without knowing full well that we would match the demand generated.
