Hair dye did not color my hair red - loreal paris fèria hairdye

I have used this same box in the past (rich auburn true red R68) on my brown hair and it worked awesome it was bright and noticable. But this time i used it planning to dye the underneath just red i paid 14$ for this box of hair dye that didnt even change the color i timed it for 25 minutes like the directions say and still y isnt it red??? I wish i could get my money back this was a waste of time and money that i hardly have!!!
