I have had a very bad experience with this business. My son purchased a rottweiller puppy from the Southington location. After 3 days the puppy came down with pneumonia. They wanted to treat her at their store&which a vet "visits"—but they pay for. So we did that. After 2 weeks—at 2am on a Sunday morning-the puppy could not breathe and her eyes were rolling back in her head. Panicked-we ran her to the New Haven Animal ER Hospital. They admitted her with pneumonia and her XRays showed her lungs filled with fluid. They had her in an oxygen chamber for days. Finally after 4 days we were able to bring her home. All at a cost of almost $4000.
Anyone out there who loves their pets can understand that at a moment of crisis when you think your pet is going to die-you're willing to pay any amount to get them better. I kept one of the "Vet techs" at the ALLPETS store informed. I felt I should be reimbursed for some of my expenses as it seemed to me that they sold us a sick puppy. Her response to me was that they would have taken her back after the first illness. Again I say to anyone who loves their pets&how could I just return a puppy we had all ready fallen in love with? I think that is their angle. So I finally got in touch with "Jerry" the owner of the ALLPETS stores. (the vet tech reluctantly gave me his name)

He is a very nice fellow and seems passionate about his business. But he questioned everything I had done and everything the New Haven ER had done. He had the gall to question whether the puppy was "that sick". I asked him if he was a vet and he is not&but he claims he has worked with animals for 20years - does that qualify him to diagnose??? I don't think so.
All I am looking for is a partial payment for all the medical bills. I was all ready informed that THEY have been reimbursed from the breeder for the puppy as she seems to have a congenital lung problem. So for the last 5 weeks I have tried my best to track down "Jerry" He is never available and his voice mail is always full. I have had it and now am thinking about hiring a lawyer.
I would never buy another puppy from ALLPETS Club. Horrible experience.
