Groupon.com
False Advertising - GROUPON

Advertising

Groupon is currently using ads touting "70% off Sushi in your area", but the fine print says that this is an "example" of a deal in your area. The fine print in the ad is VERY difficult to read and most people don't notice it. 70% off Sushi would be a GREAT deal, so many people click on it, like I did. But all it does is take you to their site where you are encouraged to sign up to receive daily Groupon offers. No Sushi though. So to me, it's false advertising, or at best, very misleading. Shameful business practice and they're liable to get in trouble with it, even with the fine print...
