We got directtv in august of 06. Service was pricey but okay.in august of 08 we changed dvr to get on demand, wasnt worth it. I then tried to cancel, they said i had to pay a fee for early termnination, seems changing the dvr added 2 years to my contract they said. I then said fine i will cancel all the receivers and ship them back. Oops have to keep one or that would be caceling my service, so i HAVE to keep a receiver. I looked into the contract and guess what it DOES NOT say it extends your contract to activate equipment. I also looked at my bill and they had been over charging me for a year. Give me cable anyday.
