Portrayal of Indians

I am disgusted with the portrayal of Indians in various television shows on Disney (Phineas and Ferb, Jessie, etc.). I find much of this to be incredibly racist, and I am appalled that the younger generation is being exposed to this. With the snipe remarks about curry, and other "Indian" things, I am wondering when it became acceptable to have such things?
