Completely unexpectedly, TWC disconnected my service—cable and internet. The bill was not late. I called for several hours—six times during one day—and was told that I had to speak to someone in collections. This was curious, since I owed nothing, however when I finally spoke to this person, he told me that a random audit revealed that someone who had service at this address six years ago had not paid the final bill. Therefore, service to the address was unauthorized. TWC claims that even though I am not the responsible party, that can cancel my service because of this unpaid bill. This is ludicrous to me, and an unfair practice all the way around. I demanded therefore that they return to me the cost of installation, since it was apparently their mistake. I've gotten no satisfaction since, and have resolved NEVER to have TWC again. I can watch cable shows I like next season! This is robbing Peter to stick it to Paul, and I'm just done.
