Shake it Up: like other IT's a Laugh production products, this one is dumbed-down and just not very uplifting in any way (but that is not my real problem). I am especially alarmed, however, by the extreme and painful thinness of one of the stars on this show. My young daughter, after having seen this show, thinks she is "too fat" (and she is perfect, she is active and awesome). There is something really wrong with a company which produces shows for a market that targets primarily pre-teen audiences that promotes this kind of worry in kids. It's a Laugh production is not interested, however, in kids but in profit. Anorexia, in addition to lying, snottiness, cheating, dumb jokes, and dumbed-down characters (aka every other It's a Laugh show) is apparently the new formula designed to get ratings. How far as Disney fallen from it's golden days of Lizzie McGuire.
