Redbox Video Rental
Charged a full week for one day!

We rented a movie - ONE movie - on Friday March 20th in the evening. It was "Hancock." We returned the movie - the ONE movie - to the SAME Redbox on the NEXT DAY - this being MARCH 21st - at approximately 1:30pm. YESTERDAY, on March 29th, I got a charge on my credit card for $8.66! I called Redbox at their 800# and she says, "We show you returned the movie yesterday." Yesterday being March 28th - a WEEK after we actually returned the movie. I said, "No, we returned the movie a WEEK ago yesterday - on the 20th." So she asks me, "Did you give the movie to a friend or relative to return, or did you return it yourself?" I said, "We both drove to the store, and I sat in the car and watched my boyfriend put the movie into the box. LAST Saturday!" She puts me on hold for about 5 minutes, then she comes back and says, "Well we show that you returned the movie yesterday, but as a 'COURTESY' we will refund your $7.58 back." I said, "COURTESY?!?! Do we need to go to Walgreen's and get the video from last week? Because I can prove that we returned the movie last week! Not yesterday! As a matter of fact, we are more than an hour from home and have been all weekend - there is no possible way we could have returned it yesterday. So there's no "courteous" about it - you are plain wrong. Plus, this is the THIRD time I have called with problems from Redbox. And I think we are done renting from Redbox in the future."
