Dish Network refusal to refund

TV & Radio

In Oct directly after sending back their receiver because we moved and changed to Direct TV, we recieved an invoice for $266.64. After contacting them I was told it was an error and they would send a refund check which they did. However we then received another invoice covering charges for 11/25 - 12/24/06 for an additional $266.64. My husband who was 75 and ill went and wrote the check without checking our records with me, his spouse. I was not aware of this for some time, months. When I called to ask about this we were told, "it was too late to get a refund". I recently contacted Scaia's office and was told that no one at Direct was willing to listen to them at all. I do not and will not ever recommend Dish TV to anyone and I retell this sorry story as often and to as many people I can. Please be forwarned! They should be charged with fraud and made to refund our money with interest, my husband now 80 with prostate cancer can really use this money. It may be just some dishonest, bad service people rather than the entire company, but sadly they reflect directly onto their employer, Direct TV. Maybe we can call it Direct Fraud on Old People TV!:)
