Traveling & Tourism

On September 2 I purchased a travel from Tippr for use to either Las Vegas or Orlando Florida for $99.00. The voucher would cover air fair for two people up to $850.00 total value to include $500.00 in flight credit and two night stay in Las Vegas for up to $350.00. With that said, I am a world traveler and have spent an extraordinary about of time in Las Vegas for the past 26 years. I am very aware of what hotels cost how much it costs to get there from wherever, and am a timeshare owner there. I wanted to test this Tippr thing to see if it was legitimate.

Let me say, IT IS NOT! Try to get human to human contact is a complete other issue. I sent in my voucher request for specific dates of December 6-9 of 2012 on October 25. I chose these specific dates for a reason as there is an annual event in Las Vegas each and every year that we like to attend. This was within the 90 day notice of redeeming based on PURCHASE DATE of coupon not from desired travel dates. Regardless, I heard from not one person via email, snail mail or telephone regarding my redemption and requested dates of travel until today, November 28. I was requesting to travel 8 days from today!!! The hotel they suggested is Excalibur. I asked them not to place us in Circus Circus for obvious reasons.instead they booked another child friendly hotel. Secondly, after waiting until the last minute to book flights, the total cost for flights was just shy of $1500, as they waited until the last minute to book. (Minus the $500.00 of course). I actually sent them a nasty email over 10 days ago advising them I had not heard from anyone and if they could not responsibly handle the VOLUME of business coming in from a coupon offer, they should respectfully remove themselves from participation and allow another company in who can stand up to the challenge and not rip people off. I know how much an airline ticket costs 8 days out from travel versus 30 days out from travel.

Let's not forget the $149.00 per person booking fee! And so on and so on. If these people think they will get one more red cent of my hard earned money they are sadly mistaken. They will kindly provide you up to two itinerary changes FREE of charge. For $149.00 and taking their sweet time, it's the very least they can do. I am not giving these people the opportunity to do business with me, ever.

Lesson learned. If a deal sound too good to be true, it is too good to be true. It was worth the lesson in one respect, as I am telling every single person I know, which is in the hundreds, spanning the entire USA. If Tippr or Next Stage Travel would like to refute this information, they are welcome to do so and I will respond in kind. I doubtt you will hear a peep on this site as they are too busy finding the crappiest travel schedule, crappiest hotel at the rock bottom cheapest prices for hotel for you, and most price differential for them and offer that to people on a silver platter and think they are doing you a service, saving you money and in the end, apparently will be proud of their "work." I should have planned this trip myself on September 2 to see what sort of pricing I could have come up with in a timely manner. Guaranteed it would have cost much much less without the $99.00 voucher special.

Finally, what is the $99.00 for anyway and how does it actually APPLY towards your trip? Is that in addition to the $850.00 credit or taken away from your $850.00 credit??? Who knows.
