Wanted to charge me $175 to change the date of my flight and the ticket cost me $145

I booked a flight for November 20th on October 4th to go to Fort Lauderdale for a business conference. The conference was cancelled and on November 21st I called to see if I could cancel the flight and put the credit towards a holiday travel. I was told I had to pay a rescheduling fee of $125 and another $50 cancellation fee in order to do so. What a ripoff! I will never book another travel reservation through this website!
