I and my husband went on a Carnival Cruise for our honeymoon in August. We planned to stay back in Tampa, Florida after the trip for 3 days. However, the Issac storm affected the trip, so we were evacuated from Tampa. One day before the official evacuation, we called the hotel and Orbitz to cancel to reservation. The hotel confirmed that they would do it for us, but they informed that we should call Orbitz to let them know too. I called my Orbitz travel agent twice. No answer. I left 2 messages. Few days later, I found out that they still charged me for the hotel which I never stayed in. I called my Orbitz travel agent again without success. I tried other Orbitz customer service number, and finally got a hold of that travel agent. She told me that she heard my messages, but her department was not in charge of hotel booking, but only cruise booking. And she did not even call me back to let me know. And the result was that I did not actually cancel my booking, although I did all I could for it. I am very upset with their customer service. I will not book with Orbitz again any more.
