Charged me for failed transaction

I tried to book a vacation package and the transaction failed due to an error in orbitz. They charged me for that transaction for airline alone. Called up Orbitz customer care. A lady talked to me and then she confirmed me that she talked to my bank to cancel all the charges. The next day all the pending transactions were posted/charged on my account. I called them again and they said i need to call up airline for this. How is it Orbitz not responsible for authorising my card. Why shud i talk to airline. I still havent got my money back. The customer support doesnt know anything and their answers are not convincing. I am stuck with my money on hold for a failed transaction and cudnt book the tickets now. Anyone who has some knowledge on what is happening in Orbitz, please come forward and help me. This is the first time i tried orbitz and i learned my lesson.
