Timeshare Scam?

We made the decision to purchase a time share through coral resorts three months ago. We were told all the things that made this purchase sound like a wonderful deal. We have yet to this day to receive any information via mail as we were advised and now have made three months payments, which are set up on monthly automatic draft.

We have called and left messages and have not had a call back, after reading multiple websites we are now concerned this is all a big scam and we are losing our hard earned money. We would like to know what options we have.

If this is not a scam we need some information to verify what we were told is accurate in regards to all aspects, the maintenance fee, usage, ability to allow resort to use our builders week and receive a check which we were advised would be a minimal amount.

We need this in writing not just a verbal so called confirmation. If this is a scam we need to get all funds returned and all future payments stopped. Anyone who can offer any guidance please advise.
