Coral Sands Horizontal Property Regime Coral Resorts used ILLEGAL tactics and MISREPRESENTED the product, 2 1/2 months later we have received NOTHING for our money

We bought a timeshare ownership program through Coral Resorts and RCI called Global Points Program on 12/04/09. This purchase included an addendum to the contract for a Developer week. We were told we could use the week or allow Coral resorts to rent it and we would receive a portion of the rental fee ($1200).

We were told to call the hotline at the beginning of the year if we chose not to use our week. We were told we could not use the week until 2011 as it was already rented in 2010. On 12/07/09 we returned and spoke to the verification mgr regarding misinformation about the developer week cost. He said he did not want to lose our business so to make up for the misrepresentation he would let us rent out the week in 2010. On the addendum to the contract he wrote 2010 and initialed it and dated it. We now have two different dates on the form signed by both parties.

After returning home and checking on the internet we discovered that timeshares cannot legally be rented by the resort for owners and they cannot be sold under that pretense. We returned to the island and met with the verification mgr. We told him we wished to have the contract voided as they had illegally used rental of the developer week as a selling tool.informed that he had no authority to do that, we told him we would go to the SC Real Estate Commission. He then gave us a person to contact who would work with us. After several calls we have yet to hear from him.

Now we cannot even get our RCI membership and Points. RCI has no record of us being owners and the RCI rep at Coral Resorts has never received any paperwork regarding our ownership. Coral Resorts STOLE our money since we have received nothing but an RCI book which we cannot even use. We feel we should be given a refund of our money as we have been dealing with this for almost three months and have yet to receive anything for the money we paid... Just lies, lies, lies.
