All Seasons Travel and Resorts Refused to refund my money, even after explaining that I cannot afford to take the holiday as my financial situation has changed significantly

Back in I, trustingly, signed over $998.00 US Dollars for their holiday package with the understanding that it did include a marketing presentation of timeshare. However since then, work restraints prevented me from taking the holday so I, reluctantly paid for an extension. Following this my relationship status changed along with my financial status, and again I reluctantly paid for a further extension in the hope that my situation would change. Unfortunately it has not changed and I have since retired from permanent employment but still undertake casual employment to pay the bills.
Recently I have again been approached by ASTAR to pay for a further extension, to which I replied that I could not. Their answer was that I would then lose the money that I have alread paid. I replied, saying that it is still my money to which they have had the benefit, and that they should refund me. They were to ring back to see if I wanted to take up the extension. However I have now read all the complaints against them and have realised that I most probably will not get any refund.
To this end I can only hope that, maybe, some legal firm could, on behalf of all those that have been ripped off, take on this company to recover our loss.
Nevertheless I have learnt the hard way and will not be dealing with any Travel Agents in this way and will be hesitant with most Travel Agents as this has left a bad taste. Maybe, Reputable Travel Agents should lobby together to remove such operators from the industry.
