Xanadu Vacation Club/Conrad Acceptance
Freeport, Grand Bahama Vacation Club is closed indefinite, company is threatening to collect maintenance dues if not paid, or report to credit bureau

We purchased a vacation club allotment with Xanadu Vacation Club in Freeport Grand Bahamas about two years ago. It sounded like a good deal at the time, where were able to trade anywhere in the world using the point system with a company call RCI. RCI then informed us that they were no longer affiliated with Xanadu because of complaints. So we settled with Xanadu, unable to trade. We attempt to go to our home property for vacation, we were offered a motel type setting (Royal Islander). This place was like I said motel looking, they give us a Small fridge and a micro wave, I guess as a substitute for a full kitchen. Because the island is so expensive, buying food, three times a day for seven days for a family of 6 is not economical. Not informed at the time that Xanadu our resort was closed, and not sure when it will be reopened nor were we informed at the time that our points were no longer good anywhere but at Xanadu. We have paid in full the amount owed, that is not good enough for them they now wants us to pay maintainace on a closed property. My question is, what are we paying for? And if we pay this year, what about the future years? I feel it is a rip off, not only will I not pay, but also seeking to be refunded for what it is worth. I will not give them another dollar, we both have an obligation. For they need to give what was promised or something comparable, money do no grow on trees. I will like to get my monies worth. To add insult to injuries, they are now threatening to the credit bureau, for fees on a property that is closed. They are using an american base collection agency to Collect their money (Conrad Acceptance Collections) to get their money, Threaten if we do not pay they will report us to three credit agancies.
Ridicules!!! Let me know where can I seek assistance to stop this from happening, I have 30 days to respond.
