Worst hotel ever! Filthy, mold in rooms and throughout facility, rude staff, no cleaning done, no security, buildings need serious repair

Let's begin with the VERY RUDE staff!!! The people at the front desk need a course on Hospitality! Security - NONE!

Entry doors on buildings had no security what-so-ever; anyone could (and did) enter. Peeling paint and wallpaper, filthy dirty carpets, fixtures that did not work, no lighting (hallways and rooms were dark and dingy), smell from not being clean, rooms were not cleaned (the most that was done during an entire week, was the towels removed and the sink wiped down). Bed linens were never changed, had to go get towels from the front desk, toilets were not cleaned (cleaning staff told us they did not have any toilet brushes), bathtub had a large bubble of water under the surface - felt like I was surfing and ended up with vertigo every time I closed my eyes to rinse my hair/face. A HUGE accident waiting to happen!

During the stay, a manager and maintenance person got into a fight and police were called to the hotel (rumors of a knife being pulled during the fight). Then there were the people roaming the hallways, knocking on doors trying to get inside rooms (they were not guests). The hotel security (front desk clerk and maintenance person) roamed around for a few minutes trying to locate the "visitors" but never found them.

People and dogs developing respiratory illnesses - geez, wonder why!!! Mold throughout the facility, wet carpets from leaks, holes in walls, toilets not working, a/c not working... The list goes on! And to add to all of this - the phone system never worked! Tried to call the front desk several times; no answer or got some Verizon recording. Tried the phone in the hallway and as soon as I picked up the receiver, it automatically began dialing, again getting some Verizon recording. Thank goodness we did not have an emergency and needed to dial out or call 911!!

This place needs to be inspected by the BBB and the Fire Marshal - and closed down! And, they asked for (and charged) advanced deposits, then asked for another deposit at check-in. Upon check-out, they had no record of either deposit and billed for the entire amount, not giving any credit for deposits. And they charged a cleaning deposit!!! Will be disputing charges with CC company! This place is not only the pits, but pretty fraudulent as well.

Stay at your own risk! Truly sad, because the potential for this place could be wonderful.
