My wife and i are senior citizens from the UK and we rented a vacation villa from George Buzzetta on the 18 October until 18 November in the resort of Port Charlotte Florida (address: 103 Dowling Ave Port Charlotte}. The cost was $2100 $500 deposit, the deposit was to be held by Mr Buzzetta for two weeks after the vacation finished and Mr Buzzetta had checked the villa for breakages or damages etc he would send my $500 deposit back to me. He did not get in touch with me after the two weeks had passed so i phoned him, he thank us for leaving the villa in excellent condition and said that he had sent me a cheque and it might have been lost, so he would cancel it and send me another, which he did not.

This went on and on, with excuses coming thick and fast, i even sent him my bank details for him to send the deposit through a bank transfer, but still he nothing.in February i reported him to the company (FlipKey) the internet site where i found the villa advertised, they got in touch with him and he told them he would contact me, but he did not, i emailed him again asking why he had not been in touch, but he did not reply. I then decided to get in touch with the the Sun Herald newspaper in Port Charlotte and explained to them what had happen, they got in touch with him and then on the 17 February i got an email saying he had spoken to the man from the newspaper and was sorry he had not been in touch and he would ring me the next day has he was coming to the UK on the 9th March and when he did he would like to get together, but he did not ring. On the 8th March i sent him a email asking him if he was coming to see me when he arrived in the UK with the deposit or would he send it me, he did not reply.

I have been on the internet asking for information about George Buzzetta and have found other people that have been ripped off by him for $550, $500 etc, it is not right that this guy is allowed to rip people off with this scam and get away with it.
FlipKey told me that if he did not reply to me, they would take all his advertisements off their site, this they have done.
