Ripoff If you haven't fallen into the trap, DON'T!

My husband and I were partially given this trip as a wedding gift/honeymoon. We were really pumped because neither one of us has had the chance to do much traveling.

For beginers, we were never informed that this was a time share operation. Our first days were spent in something worse than a roach motel. Our safe didn't work, our television didn't work, and there were roaches and other insects in the room, among other problems. We called the front desk 4 times about these problems— we were put on hold and then disconnected 3 of the 4.

On the 4th try we were very "nicely" told that these problems were not the hotel's problems and that the bugs must have come with us and to "f* off". (notice the quotes, that IS a direct quote, luckily enough, my husband took care of that problem.)

We drove from Ft Lauderdale to Miami for the cruise. Which, I might add, was the best part of the entire trip (accomidation wise— no bugs, everything worked, and everyone was nice). But, we had upgraded our cruise to the Carnival Fascination.

When we arrived in Orlando, we were supposed to receive tickets to Universal Studios. Here we were told we would have to attend yet another time share meeting in order to receive these tickets. We opted not to after a very long and rude conversation with the "manager" at the hotel office and even longer conversations to the home office from the hotel pay phone. Also, at the hotel in "Orlando", the hotel had overbooked and "didn't have enough room to accomadate" us (2 couple/2 rooms). They did end up putting my husband & I in a room with a single bed—not too comfortable when both of you are bigger people. They put the other couple in the suite.

This whole trip was nothing but lies. If you haven't fallen into the trap yet, DON'T! The hotels suck! Don't believe the pictures, I saw those places on the trip, they don't even belong to Ramada Plaza Resorts!!
