My child is no Adult review - Service

I recently flew my two daughters to spend some time with relatives. I'm a single dad, and have dealt with flying unaccompanied minors many times. My daughters ages are 11 & 15.. When I booked the tickets I offered to pay the unaccompanied minor fee for my youngest and was denied. The airline deemed my 15 year old an adult, and would not let me pay the fee. I was assured at time of purchase that picking them up at the gate would not be a problem.

Well here I am at the airport. Denied a gate pass by a ticket counter Nazi. It costs Jet blue nothing, and I do have a 11 year old flying. None of that seems to matter because once again Jet blue deems my 15 year old an adult, and an escort. It make no difference the me (the parent) feels I need to pick them up at the gate..! (as they expect me to be there)..

When I ask why I'm told they only have so many gate passes they can issue. I ask how many and I get no answer..!!! I ask if it costs them anything I get no answer..!!! I'm told that I have no right to a gate pass??? I ask if it is at the clerks discretion..?? I get no answer??? Now apparently I am being difficult. Because the call for the next in line..!!!

Who is Jet blue to deny accepting payment for unaccompanied minor benefits because the airline deems my 15 year old an adult..!!! Then to further deem my 15 year old an escort and responsible..

Jet blue assured me I would have no problem attaining gate passes to meet my girls at the terminal. Yet here I am on the outside looking in. This is beyond unreasonable..

My two children are arriving at a gate expecting to see me. None of this matters to anyone..

I called the 800 customer service number, I was told if my girls flew southwest 12 is the adult age so I should be happy... I reminded her my youngest was 11..

I will never fly jet blue ever again..!!!
