Expedia Unpublished Hotel Reservation

I recently reserved my first hotel off the unpublished hotels list. Be advised that Expedia discloses certain hotel amenities, but not all, before you reserve. Our hotel ended up being pet friendly, a fact that is dangerous for my son and was not disclosed on the Expedia site, in spite of the fact that is is boldly displayed on the hotel's page. These reservations are non-refundable. I talked to three customer service reps and was told to contact the hotel. They said it was Expedia's problem because they disclose the pet friendly fact. Very frustrating experience and Expedia clearly doesn't mind losing a customer over it.
