WLI RESERVATION REWARDS Ripoff Unauthorized charging $7.00 per month to my credit card for 4 months Shelton Connecticut

First, let me preface my remarks by saying that it's inexcusable on my part for not catching this discrepancy earlier. So I'm determined to check my credit card transactions regularly in the future.

Recently my wife noticed charges of $7.00 to our account from a company called WLI RESERVATION REWARDS.CO (www.reservationrewards.com.) And like other couples my wife and I assumed the other had charged this rather small amount. She noticed twice that these charges were made on 2/16/04 and 3/16/04 without our authorization. She called our credit card company to request refunds for these charges. They said no problem and they'd take care of it, which they did. A few days later, 14 dollars were credited to our account.

Later, I decided to check the same credit card account, this time on the web and see if there were any other problems. Sure enough the same company and siphoned another $14.00 earlier, beginning 12/16/03 and again 1/16/04. Since this was earlier than our last statement it would have been easy to miss if I had not checked the account on the web. This time I called the credit card company to request another refund for those charges. Visa said they would take care of the problem. The process was very simple and quick. Hopefully the refund will be credited in a few days, as was previously done.

Moral: Check your statements and ask questions even if the charge is rather small. Unscrupulous companies are hoping you don't notice.
