Do yourself a favor do not rent from this Uhaul location: 7643 University Avenue, La Mesa, CA 91942 - uhaul

The owner of this location completely ripped me off. I have rented several Uhaul s in my life and I have never done business with a company that has a policy to tack in extra charges at every turn. They also placed additional authorizations against my card every other day during the my 7 day rental. Uhaul is a wonderful company, but this location is one to stay away from.in the end I was charged an additional day for the truck, moving blankets and dolly. The owner is unreasonable and has no ethics whatsoever. His reasoning for all of this was simply because the truck was returned 15 minutes late. At least 5 minutes of that time (if not more) I was waiting for someone to check the truck back in.

Those are the additional charges that he actually got away with.in addition, they also attempted to charge me for additional gas claiming that when I picked up the truck it had more gas than what he documented on my original paperwork, along with cleaning charges.
