Airticketmasters.com scammed and ripped me off, never told the truth, and used the stall tactic over and ove

Recently, my friends and I planned a trip out of the country and being college students, we tried going the cheapest way to save a few bucks. I did my research online and found AirTicketMasters.com being the cheapest. The man behind the phone was Roger R. He sounded so nice and helpful. We booked our flights thru him and he said he would give us a discount if paid over the phone with a check (which was the biggest mistake). I thought, why not, save a few more bucks. After all, each person was paying over $600 dollars.

As time got closer to our trip, I started to call Roger back asking for our tickets. He assured me that his fake sounding accounting department put it in the mail and on their way. The flyout date got closer, I called again, and with his nice voice, he assured me it was on its way. This happened three more times. The day before we were suppose to fly out was when I realized this guy had scammed me. Sure enough, I called the airline to confirm my flight, and there were no paid tickets for the flights, only reserved. I discovered that Roger had keep re-reserving our seats for the flights almost at the same time I had called about our tickets knowing that he would never buy the tickets. I guess I did him a favor in reminding him to re-reserve it everytime I called him.

So this is what I discovered. Roger never bought the tickets but he had all our money. He tricked us with the discount to pay with a check over the phone. With that, he had all our account numbers and left us wide open. He played the stall tactic with our tickets lying everytime we talked. After we missed our flights he had agreed to pay us back in full, another stall tactic came in play. He finally sent us checks, which we discovered later were bad checks. And he's still playing stall tactics day by day.

So... No tickets, no vacation, no money, and nothing but the biggest lesson learned. Never pay over the phone with checks (only credit cards), do much more research on companies I've never heard of, if you're already paying lots of money on a trip, it doesn't matter paying a little more to guarentee the trip, and spread the word that Roger R. Of airticketmasters.com is a scam.
